Located in the former Matrix space, the name “White Rabbit” pays homage to the building’s historic San Francisco counter culture roots, where American psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane recorded their first hit song, “White Rabbit” in 1967. The song, written by Grace Slick, uses imagery from Lewis Carrol’s novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
